Nutrition Education
HealthySV Coalition partners with University of New England's Public Health Program and Maine Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) to hold a variety of nutrition education programs in the Sebasticook Valley Area.
In the past year, more than 1,000 Sebasticook Valley residents have participated in our Nutrition Education classes. Our classes are designed to improve participants ability to make healthy food choices on a limited budget and lead physically active lifestyles.
We offer classes for youth, adults, seniors, and families throughout our communities. Some of the classes we offer are:
Eat Well Play Hard for Preschoolers
Pick a Better Snack
Nutrition to Grow On
Cooking Matters for Kids, Teens, and Adults
Cooking Matters at the Store
Eat Smart, Live Strong for Seniors
and
USDA's 10 Tip Nutrition Education Series
