It may seem like you don't have any time to work physical activity into your daily routine, but it can be very easy Remember, adults should get at least 3o minutes of moderate activity 5 or more days per week and children and adolescents should participate in at lest 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity on 5 or more days each week.

Tips to Increase Physical Activity:

  • Try to take 10,000 steps every day (you can measure this by wearing a pedometer on your belt or waistband).
  • Park further away at the store.
  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator/escalator.
  • Take your pet for a walk.
  • Work 10-minute walks in throughout your day (just 3 and you have met your 30 minute goal).
  • Walk, bike, or rollerblade instead of driving your car (if at all possible).
